Molokai Hawaii attractions destinations video clips
To see the real Hawaii spend some time on Molakai. With limited visitor numbers you get a chance to live like a local. Molokai is known as the most “Hawaiian” of the islands because most of the population is of Hawaiian ancestry.
Molokai is a small island, being just 38 miles long and 10 miles wide at it’s widest point. This is the place to just kick back and relax and forget about the pressures of the world. What Can I Do On Molokai?
Hike, swim. sunbathe, snorkel or scuba dive, bike ride, sport fish, ride a horse or mule, play golf or just put your feet up and do nothing.
The north coast of Molokai has the largest sea cliffs in the world while the south side of the island is protected by 32 miles of barrier reef from Hale O Long to Murphy’s Beach, a 20 mile beach on the eastern side of the south shore. The island is home to numerous beautiful, and often completely deserted, beaches perfect for relaxing.
Visit Kalaupapa National Historical Park on the north shore, take a mule ride and learn about Father Damien and the leper colony. Experience the lifestyle of the local paniolos on the Molokai Ranch, a 53,000 acre ranch that covers approximately 1/3 of the island.
Charter a sail boat or fishing boat or play a round of golf on one of the two golf courses on the island. Take a flight around the island for a photographic tour or shop in Kaunakakai or the villages of Kualapu’u and Maunaloa. Visit a macadamia nut farm or a coffee plantation and enjoy quiet cup of coffee while enjoying a book. Relax…. this what Molokai is all about.
